Seven teenagers swap lives from the year 2187 to 2020 amidst the covid pandemic. Those from the year 2020 find themselves as characters in a computer game, controlled by those from the year 2187. Along the way both era’s experience, love, friendship, nature, futuristic technology and a journey of appreciation. Every chapter is a level to complete for the game. However, those from 2187 enjoy life so much that in 2020 they try to find a way to stay permanently and that’s where the fight begins.

Him, Her & That Secret

Alora Ryan is the victim of a hit and run, she is involved in a friendship in a group of six friends, amongst those friends are three relationships Alora and Blake, Sadie and Lucian, Cassy and Kyle. All three couples experience relationship issues and between the six of them two of them share a secret, a secret love affair. As Alora temporarily drifts into the afterlife she meets up with Johnny her first love and with his light hearted sense of fun and humour he takes her on a journey to Ireland where she laughs, loves and discovers the emerald isle and its beauty. Johnny teaches her to love herself and re-evaluate her life, meanwhile Detective’s Wilson and Jenkins try to discover the identity of the hit and run driver which along with the secret love affair is not revealed until the very end, where there is a twist of fate.

Brilliant book, love the character development and the twists, kept me guessing as to ‘Who dunnit’ until the very end. Looking forward to the sequel already, I highly recommend it.

Loved this book and everything about it. It draws you in from the beginning and I liked the idea of the two different time periods, present and the Victorian times in East end London. I especially like how the author spoke from the magical books point of view, very clever with a magical Christmas story, well worth a read. 100% recommend.

Very well written and if you like fantasy and escapism this is the book would suit any age I am 63! This is my third book I have read by the author A.J and I love how on all three she has involved two different time periods without it seeming too far fetched. I read this book in a few days and loved the twists in the story. A real heart-warming magical Christmas story and very clever.
